Colin Gibson – Artist
Colin Gibson was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1948. After spending the early years of his career as a graphic designer with the Belfast Telegraph Newspaper he made the decision to turn to painting professionally at the age of 26.
Specialist not only in Landscape and Cityscape painting but also in capturing sporting events around the globe. Colin’s distinctive style is instantly recognizable from the urban turmoil of New York to the Italian countryside or Dublin’s historical buildings and monuments. His first solo exhibition was held at the Nelson Bell Gallery in 1968.
With broad appeal Colin’s work truly does travel world-wide with private collectors all over the UK and Europe and as far off as Canada, America, and Australia. He has built up a prestigious public client base also including organisations such as
